Asian American Studies focuses on the history, politics, and culture of Americans of Asian descent. Courses explore the diversity of Asian American communities, and the history and present conditions of racial formation in the United States and other parts of the Americas. Some courses emphasize an in-depth study of Asian American history, literature and culture, social issues, politics, and psychology. Others include significant attention to Asian American studies topics in the course of broader discussions.
